Story details

The Afghanistan Railway Authority reported on 3 October that 790,741 tonnes of goods moved on the country’s railway network during Sunbula month. Cargo included petroleum products and other commercial goods, moving through Hairatan, Aqina and Torghundi ports and along the Khaf-Herat railway route.

The authority said the total covered both imports and exports. Railways also carried 3,744 tonnes of export products during the month, including carbonated drinks, raisins and mineral stones. The announcement did not break out separate import and export totals or provide a comparison with an earlier period.
