Afghanistan’s Ministry of Mines and Petroleum signed a memorandum of understanding with Fine Star Group and Azra Green Stone to transfer and install a standard lead-and-zinc processing plant. The ministry press office told Bakhtar the agreement was signed on 30 September by Minister Hedayatullah Badri and representatives of the companies.

Badri said the ministry was prepared to facilitate investors in mineral extraction and processing and related plants. The two companies committed to implementing the MoU. The announcement gave no site, capacity, investment value or construction start date.
