Story details

Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health said on 6 October that a solar power system had been installed and commissioned to supply the training hall of the Kunar Provincial Public Health Directorate. The ministry put the cost at AFN 600,000 and said UNICEF provided financial support.

At the inauguration, Kunar Public Health Director Qari Muzaffar Khan Mukhlis said the project would support training programmes and health-worker capacity. The notice gives no system capacity or electricity-output figure and describes a facility serving the training hall, not a wider power supply.
