The African Development Bank Group announced on 23 September that its board had approved a $34 million loan for Seychelles the previous day. The financing supports the third and final phase of the Economic Resilience and Green Recovery Support Programme, covering public financial management, the business environment and climate resilience.
Planned measures include electronic tax invoicing, a national e-procurement system and a one-stop investment portal, alongside electricity planning and environmental regulation. The Bank said it had provided $25 million for each of the first two phases in 2024 and 2025, bringing programme financing across all three phases to $84 million.
