Story details
The African Development Bank Group and Korea Eximbank signed a five-year memorandum of understanding in Seoul on 9 September, the AfDB announced on 16 September. The agreement replaces a cooperation framework dating to 2005 and sets out ways to identify, assess and develop projects for joint financing across African countries.
Priority areas include artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, supply-chain resilience, critical minerals, transport, urban development and green infrastructure. The institutions may use loans, guarantees and equity investments. The memorandum provides a cooperation framework; it does not announce a specific new project loan or committed funding amount.
