Story details
The UAE Government’s Artificial Intelligence Office and Abu Dhabi’s Mawaheb Talent Hub launched the Abu Dhabi Digital Talent initiative on 8 October. Its stated aim is to connect university study with workplace needs and prepare young people for technology and AI roles. The programme combines practical training, specialised learning and professional development in an eight-week format, delivered through three tracks and a mix of in-person and virtual sessions.
The partners named by the Abu Dhabi Media Office are Mawaheb, QudraTech, Inception42, Intel, Oracle and upGrad. The announcement says the initiative builds on earlier cohorts in Dubai and Sharjah and seeks a broader UAE talent-development pathway. It does not disclose enrolment targets, cohort sizes, selection criteria, completion rates or job-placement commitments. Its near-term test will be whether participants complete the training and move into relevant work; the launch announcement sets out the intended bridge but provides no outcome data yet.
