Story details
Sun Summit Minerals reported on 19 October initial metallurgical tests on composite samples from the Creek and Finn zones at its JD project in north-central British Columbia. Gravity-leach tests at a 150-micron grind yielded reported gold extraction of 98–99% for Creek composites and 89–95% for Finn composites. A gravity-flotation-leach procedure returned 95–97% for Creek and about 100% for Finn; separate bottle-roll tests reported 99% and 93% extraction, respectively.
Blue Coast Research conducted the work on composites assembled from assay rejects from six 2025 drill holes. Sun Summit said the composites were indicative, as no mineral resource estimate was available when samples were selected, and further testwork is needed. The figures describe laboratory extraction from selected samples, not expected commercial recovery or a feasibility result.
