UNICEF says Sudan’s childhood vaccination coverage improved in 2025
Sudan’s coverage for the third dose of the diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTP3) vaccine rose from 39% in 2024 to 71% in 2025, according to a UNICEF assessment published on 7 September. Coverage for the first dose of measles vaccine also increased, from 46% to 68%.
UNICEF attributes the recovery to the Federal Ministry of Health’s Emergency Plan for Immunization, supported by Gavi, the World Health Organization and UNICEF. After conflict displaced health workers, closed facilities and disrupted vaccine routes, partners used cross-border supplies through Chad as well as outreach and mobile teams.
The agency says millions of children still face barriers to services and that the gains remain fragile. The percentages are annual coverage indicators; UNICEF’s post does not describe them as clinical case counts or as evidence that every child was vaccinated.
Egypt’s Healthcare Authority reported 6.767 million enrolled beneficiaries and 94.22 million medical services in the first half of fiscal 2025/26. Its report listed 335 therapeutic facilities.

Measurement and privacy details
Google Analytics measurement starts only if you allow it. After consent, automatic measurement may cover scrolls, outbound link clicks, downloads, video engagement, site searches and basic form interactions; search terms may be detected from URL parameters. This site’s own code does not send form field values; email redaction in automatic measurement is best-effort, not guaranteed. Our manual page-view event uses a cleaned URL. You can change your choice later. Visits that begin with consent may also send numeric LCP, INP and CLS performance measurements after Analytics loads. A first or later grant starts this on the next page load; withdrawing consent stops these performance reports for this page. The preference cookie lasts six months; advertising measurement and personalization stay off.
