Statistics Norway reported on 7 October that turnover across oil and gas extraction, mining, manufacturing and electricity supply rose 3.3% in August 2026 from July on a seasonally adjusted basis. The three-month increase was 0.9%, while the calendar-adjusted year-on-year change reached 25.2%.
Unadjusted turnover for the combined scope was NOK 284.779 billion. SSB cautions that the electricity-supply total includes generation, distribution, trading and district heating, and does not represent the value of electricity sales to customers. The series measures turnover value, not production volume.

The monthly change is seasonally adjusted and the 12-month change is calendar adjusted. The source measures turnover value, not output volume. Electricity supply includes generation, distribution, trading and district heating; its turnover is not representative of sales to electricity customers.

Measurement and privacy details
Google Analytics measurement starts only if you allow it. After consent, automatic measurement may cover scrolls, outbound link clicks, downloads, video engagement, site searches and basic form interactions; search terms may be detected from URL parameters. This site’s own code does not send form field values; email redaction in automatic measurement is best-effort, not guaranteed. Our manual page-view event uses a cleaned URL. You can change your choice later. Visits that begin with consent may also send numeric LCP, INP and CLS performance measurements after Analytics loads. A first or later grant starts this on the next page load; withdrawing consent stops these performance reports for this page.
