Story details

The Norwegian Competition Authority told the parties on 9 October that it would investigate Eviny Elektrifisering’s acquisition of Mer Norway more closely. It will assess whether the deal could reduce competition in Norway’s fast and ultra-fast electric-vehicle charging market.

The authority says Eviny and Mer are among the country’s largest charging operators and that alternatives are limited in some areas where they overlap. It will examine potential effects on prices, service quality and infrastructure development; no intervention decision has been made at this stage.
