Story details
McFarlane Lake Mining outlined on 19 October what it calls a fully funded Phase 2 drilling program at its Juby gold project in Ontario. The company plans 50,000 metres of drilling over 12 to 15 months and expects three rigs operating before 1 November. Two rigs are intended to expand known mineralization, while a third will begin with infill drilling before moving to new targets.
The plan follows a September 2026 financing that raised about C$17.25 million in gross proceeds. The company’s current estimate lists 1.07 million ounces of indicated and 5.09 million ounces of inferred gold resources; these are not mineral reserves and do not demonstrate economic viability. McFarlane also plans a scoping study targeted for 2027 and continued permitting and environmental baseline work.
