Story details

Saudi scaffolding and formwork company Manar Al Omran (MAO) announced on September 2 a planned industrial complex covering about one million square metres in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province. The company put the investment at SAR1.2 billion; the development is to include five production factories and a head office. The announcement describes a planned manufacturing platform, not current output from the complex.

The main component is a 750,000-square-metre scaffolding and steel complex. MAO says it is designed for daily output of 1,200 metric tons, alongside a casting facility, an aluminium extrusion plant with eight presses and a plastic composites factory. The aluminium presses have stated annual capacity of about 200,000 metric tons. The company says the planned production base will serve construction, energy and infrastructure sectors.
