Story details

The EU Innovation Fund selected the Mosusol-NetCO₂ project led by Molins with Enagás and Linde, the companies said on 20 October. It would install industrial carbon capture at Molins’ cement plant in Sant Vicenç dels Horts near Barcelona.

The proposed system is designed to capture around one million tonnes of CO₂ a year and could avoid up to 1.1 million tonnes of annual emissions. The companies estimate it could capture about 97% of emissions from Portland clinker and calcium aluminate production. Funding awaits a grant agreement.
