Egypt announces free military museum entry for 3–6 October
Egypt’s defence ministry announced free admission from 3 to 6 October at four military museums and historic sites for the 53rd anniversary of the October Victories.
The ministry’s 1 October notice listed the October War Panorama, the National Military Museum at the Citadel, the Gamal Abdel Nasser Museum and the El Alamein Military Museum for free admission from 3 to 6 October. The decision was announced as part of Egypt’s and the armed forces’ celebrations of the 53rd anniversary of the October Victories.
The ministry said the measure was intended to promote awareness of military and national history and culture. The notice lists the dates and sites but does not provide visitor numbers or an evaluation of the initiative.
Organisers selected the Central African Cultural Centre and the Limete Exchangeur esplanade for the festival’s second edition, which was scheduled to open on 8 October.
The Ancient Egypt exhibition at the Hong Kong Palace Museum closed on 31 August. Egypt’s official account said it received more than 600,000 visitors during a run of over nine months.

Measurement and privacy details
Google Analytics measurement starts only if you allow it. After consent, automatic measurement may cover scrolls, outbound link clicks, downloads, video engagement, site searches and basic form interactions; search terms may be detected from URL parameters. This site’s own code does not send form field values; email redaction in automatic measurement is best-effort, not guaranteed. Our manual page-view event uses a cleaned URL. You can change your choice later. Visits that begin with consent may also send numeric LCP, INP and CLS performance measurements after Analytics loads. A first or later grant starts this on the next page load; withdrawing consent stops these performance reports for this page. The preference cookie lasts six months; advertising measurement and personalization stay off.
