Story details

EAV said in a 20 October statement that bus services would be disrupted after fuel distributors failed to deliver diesel. From 21 October, service would be reduced on routes 102, 106, 922 and 924; the notice also listed numerous routes for suspension.

The company warned that some rail services could also be suspended from 24 October if regular fuel deliveries were not restored. The 20 October notice says that, from 22 October, additional routes, buses supporting specified railway sections and all replacement rail-bus services operated by D’Agostino Tour would be suspended. This is a conditional operating plan for EAV’s network; it does not establish a nationwide fuel shortage or that every planned suspension occurred.
