Story details

Discovery Mining reported on 20 October results from 36 holes totalling 16,365.4 metres at its Dome project near Timmins, Ontario. New mineralization was reported as far as about 600 metres south of the current resource pit, while drilling also intersected intervals within and north of the existing resource. Highlighted results included 21 metres grading 3.56 grams of gold per tonne and 9 metres grading 11.63 g/t.

The company is using its 2026 drilling to update Dome’s inferred resource and expects to publish the estimate in early 2027. The current estimate contains 222.3 million tonnes averaging 1.49 g/t for 11 million inferred ounces; it is not a reserve or an economic development decision. Reported intercepts are core lengths, true widths are not yet established, and the results do not amount to approval to resume operations.
