Story details

Azincourt Energy reported further drilling results from Snegamook in Labrador on 22 October, saying four holes totalling 1,069 metres had been completed. The company now expects the 2026 program to cover approximately 1,800 metres in six to seven holes following a later-than-expected start.

Hole SN0048 returned a preliminary radiometric interval of 0.03% equivalent uranium oxide, or eU3O8, over 19.0 metres. The interval sits within a broader 31.6-metre zone of elevated radioactivity. These are estimates derived from downhole gamma measurements, not laboratory assay results. Azincourt said assays remain pending and may differ.

All intervals are lengths along the drill hole; true mineralized widths have not been established. The company is also evaluating historical core and data as it considers a possible maiden mineral resource estimate. No current or historical mineral resource has been established at Snegamook, according to the announcement. The results therefore support further exploration assessment, rather than demonstrate mineable reserves or commercial uranium production.
