Story details

Bahra Electric and Sicame Group said in a joint announcement dated 29 September 2026 that they had formalised an agreement to establish a venture called Bahra Salvi. Bahra Electric is a Saudi manufacturer of electrical products with an integrated facility in Jeddah, while France-based Sicame supplies equipment for electricity transmission and distribution. The announcement says the venture will focus on electricity-transmission markets in Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East.

The companies say Bahra Salvi is intended to produce high-value transmission equipment in Saudi Arabia. Sicame’s Salvi product range is qualified with Saudi Energy. The release does not disclose the venture’s ownership split, investment amount, production timetable or capacity, and it announces no customer order or supply contract. The development is therefore a planned local manufacturing partnership; it does not establish that production has started or that sales have been secured.

Bahra Electric says its integrated site near Jeddah covers more than 700,000 square metres and makes a range of electrical equipment, including cables, transformers, busway systems, distribution boards, and copper and aluminium products. Sicame says the partnership is intended to serve regional demand for transmission networks. The announcement gives no market-size figure or revenue forecast, so it does not support a numerical estimate of the venture’s commercial scale.
