Story details

Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover reached $30,017.4 million in January-July 2026, producing a positive trade balance of $10,256.0 million, the State Statistical Committee said on September 10. During the period, Azerbaijani legal entities and individuals traded with partners in 173 countries, exporting goods to 121 countries and importing from 160.

Compared with January-July 2025, turnover increased 6.9% in nominal terms but decreased 15.1% in real terms. The measures differ: the nominal figure records current-dollar value, while the real comparison adjusts for price effects. The release does not break down the balance by product or explain which categories drove the change, so the headline totals alone do not establish the direction of export performance or domestic demand.
